1.7   New flowchart checklist

1. Setup prompt options Create a new directory to contain your flowchart file, and all your prompt files Decide which standard prompts you need. If you are only using text-to-speech, you will not need any standard prompts. Otherwise you must decide what kind of data you need to speak Goto the Prompt menu, then select Options. Enter the path of your prompt directory, and tick the standard prompts that you need If you tick any of the standard prompt options, you must record wave files for all the options you have ticked. Or you can use the standard prompts contained in our free samples. You can return to the Prompt Options dialog any time you like, if you need to change the prompt directory or change the standard prompt options.

2. Connect to database Goto the Connect menu, then select Database Enter your database connection parameters into the dialog Press OK, the output window will display the database connection status

3. Setup text-to-speech Goto the Connect menu, then select Text-To-Speech Select which voice you want to use

4. Setup fonts

Setting fonts helps to provide a consistent look, when printing a flowchart.
To setup fonts: goto the Flowchart menu, then select Fonts...
We recommend the following fonts:

• Box Name: Arial, Bold, 10
• Box Condition: Arial, Regular, 8
